I have been member of the Italian Figure Skating National Team for over 15 years, Junior National Silver Medalist and Senior National Bronze Medalist. I took part in several Junior Grand Prix and ISU Senior Internationals including 3 editions of the FISU Winter Universiades.

In 2008 I started my career as a coach guiding athletes from several countries to National and International competitions, such as: ISU World Championships, ISU Europeans Championships, ISU Grand Prix, ISU Junior Grand Prix, ISU Junior Worlds, Youth Olympic Games EYOF and many other ISU International Competitions.

Since 2014 I'm an ISU Technical Specialist.

Professional Experience

Senior GP and ISU Championships

2023 - Present

Accademia del Ghiaccio SDM Milano Italy

In 2023 I started to work at Accademia del ghiaccio with the ambitious goal to rise the level of the club, accelerating the growth of the younger skaters and having international skaters training there. During the season Gabriele Frangipani was capable of a 4th place at the Europeans, 5th and 6th at Cup of China and NHK trophy.

American Experience

2019 - 2022

West Nyack / Newburgh, NY

Between 2019 and 2023 I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and train American and Asian skaters with extremely high potential in the US East coast. Together with my wife Carolina Crisafulli I teamed up with Gilberto Viadana and Michela Boschetto.

Coaching full time

2012 - 2011

Milano

In 2011 I quit skating after being bronze medalist at Nationals and I started my carrer as a full-time coach. I quickly took several skaters to international competitins: ISU Junior Grand Prix (Roethlisberger, Settembrini), ISU Junior Worlds (Roethlisberger, Cernuschi Ambrosini), European Youth Olympic Festival (Vanz) and and ISU International Competitions and ISU Challenger (Zandron, Rio, Garlisi, Betti, Conti, Gosviani). In 2012 I was promoted from International to ISU Technical Specialist.

2010 - 2008

Milano

I started my coaching carrer while I stil was competing in 2008 when I had the chance to be part of Cristina Mauri's team and working with novice and junior skaters. In 2008 I became regional Technical Specialist and in 2012 I officiate at Junior Nationals, the same year I got promoted to International Technical Specialist.
